Nikon FE2 Exposure Compensation Lock ...

Posted on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 - 07:58 am:        I have an FE2 in really nice condition, but the lock on the exposure compensation ring isn't working properly. To rotate the dial clockwise (+), the release button must be depressed (this functions properly). However, I can spin the dial in the anti-clockwise direction (-) whether the release button is depressed or not. As a result, I periodically underexpose photos on accident. I'm guessing something's jammed, and may just need lubrication. The dial spins regardless of the release button being depressed or not in the clockwise direction.
