Can anybody give me advice on how i adjust vertical alignment on the rangefinder for a MK1 Canonet (the one with the bottom winder) |

Not sure if I can picture that model but try removing the accessory shoe cover........... many Canon's have a portal there for adjustment of the RF......if that doesn't do it..send me a picture of the top and back of camera please. Art......[email protected] |

Hi Thanks for responding to my post. I have an old spares canonet, which I have removed the top and moved the rangefinder cover. There is on hole at the left side on the cover that lines up with a screw. I assume that this is for left to right alignment. But i am not sure how to align the spot top to bottom. There apears to be nothing beneath the flash shoe. |

That's funny I just bought the exact same camera to tinker with. It's my first project, so all very exiting. I managed to adjust the vertical alignment with the little screw on the back of the mirror. It controls the tilt. See picture:
