What is the recommended method of checking for shutter capping (tapering) and bounce with the naked eye by looking through the aperture box and firing the shutter? Should the lens be unmounted? If not, does it matter what focal length lens is used? Thanks. |

Try here for the test: https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/forum/messages/6901/2362.html It is always done with the lens removed so that the entire 24x36mm frame can be examined for capping, bounce, and mirror obstruction problems. |
