I am having trouble locking my Polaroid S-70 camera body. It will close down to the position just before it locks shut. I have examined the hinge and locking mechanism and can not see any problem does anybody else have this trouble and or fix? |

Burn, I had exactly the same problem. Chances are that the mirror is in the up position and needs power from the battery to return to the down position. Make sure that there is a film pack with enough battery power in the camera. You can use a depleted film pack so long as the battery has enough power left. Good luck. |

Hi Burn, Every time I had a problem closing my SX-70 all the way it was due to the film pack. Try removing/re-inserting or changing the film pack. Matt |

I have always though of but not needed to come up with alternative power source for the SX 70. You probably know freezing keeps the film and battery indefinitely. Jay |
