I come here under the full understanding that Kowa SLRs are the bane of camera repairmen everywhere. I didn't know that when I started, though, and I have already unstuck the shutter, reset the linkages, and gleefully re-assembled my new-to-me Kowa seT only to find that I can't set the shutter speed. The plate that covers the shutter and also sets the speed is missing a pin. Does anyone have access to such a camera, who could measure it? I have a metal lathe and am fully capable of fabricating a new one, but I don't know how long to make it and wish to save many trial-and-error errors. Here's what I'm talking about: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_guDj_YJGWn0/TUeSMoU11AI/AAAAAAAAB4w/LjJzyFjveJI/s400/DSC00 085.JPG ...screwdriver pointing out the location of the missing pin. |
