Hi, I have this Edixa Reflex B which is in exceptional condition, pronlem is when I got it, the shutter speed dial just turned and did nothing, the only speed available was the Bulb setting, it was suggested on Photo.Net that the pin on the speed selection dial had broken off. When I checked I found that this was indeed what had happened, I have made a new pin and fitted it having to guess what the length of the original pin was, the speed dial now operates as it should engaging with the holes for the different speeds, but I still only have the Bulb setting. I am thinking that perhaps the new pin is not long enough, does it have to protrude through the cog with the holes in and connect with something underneath to change the shutter speed ?. The shutter sounds quite nice and he curtains are in excellent condition, the slow speed mechanism also activates when the shutter release button is pressed then released immediately selecting 10, 5, 2 and 1 and sounds about right, t is just the normal speeds that are missing, also how is the base plate removed? I believe there are 2 screws in the centre but are covered by a large circular tripod/case bush, how does this undo? Any help would be appreciated, many thanks |
