Let's change this around a little.
Anyone know if Canon ever made a parts or service manual for the MA motor drive or maybe put the information in the back of another manual? These currently cost more than the cameras and I hate to pass up this nearly new one.

I've tried to get a service manual for the MA myself with no luck! The best thing is probably just to "tinker". If the thing doesn't work anyway there will be no loss if you mess something up.
