Hello
I am looking for some techniques for removing the printed ASA disk on top of the film speed knob. I have tried working an X-acto knife tip around the edge but the results are pretty bad. Does anybody know of a gentle way to remove the disk so that it can be resued?

I have a general repair book that somewhat cryptically states about the OM-1: Set the knob to ASA 100, then pop the dial from the knob by pushing it out from behind (it's glued on). This enables you to see the cam as you replace the top cover. Turn it to fit in the notch and glue the ASA dial back in the 100 position.
It may make more sense with an ON-1 in front of you.

There are two different styles-one black plastic one piece, the other metal knurled knob which unscrews after the locking pin is de-activated. B careful with solvents-don't use acetone |
