Picked up a Metrastar light meter today. It is a very solid meter, uses a 625 energy cell. For reference: Pull out the energy cell, then Zero the ponter while holding the slide button to allow the meter to float & zero with the adjuster slot above the energy cell compartment on the back side. With the energy cell installed, slide the switch to the red index on the slide by pushing in the silver stop button in to allow the slide to activate the test circuit. The pointer should line up with the red index in between the 2nd & 3rd gray shaded indexes from the right.
Meter's only flaw I could find was a little pointer balance was needed. Balanced the pointer & looks good. Not a bad construction for a 1972 date stamped under the rear plate.
