Hi all, I just acquired a Canon AF35M II (1983) and the autofocus isn't working. I would like to remove the front to have a look but I can't see a way in. Does the round collar just ahead of the ASA window just clip on or is there some other way to remove it. |

Howard, Don't know if it is similar to the AF35ML that I just operated on, but if it is, the following may be helpful. The external body screws plus two hidden under the grip plastic are removed. The rear top plus a section in the rear left comes off as one part, and the entire front section comes off as a second section. Once these are off, you have access to the guts. Sean |

Hi Sean, Actually I was able to pop the round collar off with a thin blade, it just clips into place. The camera unfortunately seems to be terminal. It looks good though so I'll just use it for display purposes. It came as part of a package deal with an AF35M which was what I was really after, and that works fine. I'm keeping an eye out for an ML so your information may be useful to myself or others in the future. Thanks for the reply. Howard |
