Considering that I had an FTb and a parts camera, I decided that I wanted to change the pentaprism because one was better than the other. I took apart the camera with no problems, but when I went to put the pentaprism brace back on, I dropped a screw in the body. I turned the camera upside down, allowing it to fall out. In the process, the gear for shutter speed selection fell out and a small long and thin piece of clear plastic came from somewhere on the camera. I moved the rack as far as I would, with one of the notches on the gear facing towards the front of the camera, and that seems like it should be correct. When the camera is set at 1/1000 ISO 25, the rack is as far over as it will go. As for the small plastic clear strip, I have no idea where it came from. Any ideas or guidance as to either of these matters? |
