Hi there: I wonder if anyone knows how to get the top plate off the original Pen (the plain Pen, not the EE or later models). I get most of the way, but it seems like there might be one more screw perhaps hiding under the hot shoe, but I can't seem to figure out how to get at it. Anyone? Thanks! |

I don't specifically know about the Pen but often the center plate of the accessories shoe (no middle contact for a flash) slides out to the back of the camera and the screw is underneath it. If the camera has a middle contact it's a different thing then there is most of the time no screw underneath the contact. But as I said I don't know for sure and I hope somebody with more knowledge can help you better. Sorry not much info, I know. |

Thanks Msiegel. I got it sorted -- there was a screw under the accesory shoe cover. The trick was getting the cover off, which took some effort. Gary www.FilmAdvance.com |
