I have a ton of antiques cameras, and there a a few that the shutter springs are completely lost, bent, or rusted on. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to look for shutter springs of all different types. I really wish I could use some of these, but they are just missing little parts here and there, and it's so frustrating to never know where to look for the right pieces! |

only inside other shutters. for Christmas this year I got a set of spring-winding mandrels, but I have not yet had occasion to try making springs on them. (the mandrels came from Micro-Mark) |

You can make some types of spring yourself with a bit of musical wire. Extension springs are more difficult. |

Both the spring and aluminum door are very handy. I saved two shutters by them. The pin on the shutter was made by the aluminum door. |
