My brother stuck his finger into the camera and now the glass piece that holds the split image microprism above the mirror is damaged. My camera works like a beaut and I really dont want to give it up....
Does anyone know if this piece is still replaceable and if so, who do I contact? |

Sure, it's easily replaceable.
If you can find a replacement. Minolta probably hasn't had one available for ten or twelve years so you are going to have to go on the bay or somewhere and buy a junk XD body. They should all work- XD, XD-5, XD-7, XD-11. |

How badly damaged is the focusing screen? If it's just dirty or smeared you can take it out and clean it. Otherwise yes, it's a donor body for a replacement screen. |
