I dropped my rolleicord V yesterday and the front fascia was a bit out of alignment (it didn't sit flush against the main body) so I opened it and managed to get it back into shape. Now the problem is I must have messed up the shutter because it doesn't fire. I can't even cock it. <img> Does anyone know how to force the shutter to fire? I tried the remote shutter release and it doesn't work either. I can't even cock it anymore; the lever travels freely and doesn't have the resistance demonstrated when cocking. How do I seat the front fascia (with all its aperture and shutter speed settings) correctly onto the shutter? |

Unscrew the 4 screws holding the front plate with the shutter and lenses And cock and fire it. If it fires you placed it on wrong I figured this out the hard way Just cock and fire again and hold it fired, there's a arm that holds onto another arm sticking off the side of the camrea body which works with the winding and counting mechanism. Make sure it grabs it or it;ll seem jammed or it'll just keep winding. |
