I received a camera today (Rolleiflex sl35e) that has the lens installed on it wrong. The aperture settings show on the bottom rather than the top. I cannot get the lens off, will only move about 3/8 inch to either side. The lens is the Planer 1.8/50. Before I send it back, wondering if there is anything I can try? |

I have no knowledge of this camera, but for other makes of camera this situation usually means that the operating linkage in the mirror box is well and truly buggered! I would send it back before more damage is done, let the seller sort it out at their expense. |

Yeah, there was an earlier post about a Canon FTb with a lens mounted wrong, and it took out the auto aperture linkage. The owner finally got the lens off, but the camera was inoperable. PF |

My Miranda Sensomat came to me with the lens put on the bayonet wrong. Happily, it did no damage. |
