I juz brought a flexaret vi TLR back , after wind the knobs , I can't press the shutter , until I open the film back I can press the shutter smoothly. What happen about this TLR isn't the shutter jam ? |

Hi Mervyn, I assume you are trying this without film. If so, it's expected behavior. Try it with film. I believe it will work fine. |

The camera has a lock button that prevents the shutter from being released accidentally. Please make sure that the locking knob which is just above the shutter release button is "shifted downwards" (quote from the manual) I think that means the red dot underneath it should not be visible. I don't have a VI so this only from pics and the manual of the VII. You can download a manual for the Flexaret VII which is quite similar here: http://www.butkus.org/chinon/flexaret/flexaret_vii/flexaret_vii.htm Don't forget to leave a donation there if the manual is helpful for you. |
