as mentioned in this thread:
https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/forum/messages/2/25823.html?1354315885
the washer seems to be from under my film frame counter. I have tried to remove the film advance knob (single screw on top in center removed) but the knob won't budge and I don't want to break it if there is another step involved in getting the film advance knob off I would appreciate any help.

I think now is the time to bite the bullet, and send your camera to some place like Essex Camera http://essexcamera.com/ , Youxin Ye http://www.yyecamera.com/ , or Mark Hama http://www.markhama.com/ . Someone has obviously been inside this camera, screwed it up, and you are just going to be chasing one problem after another, and trying to run down parts that are hard to come by. It's the same thing with my Yashica YF. (But the reason I haven't sent it off yet, is I keep finding other cameras to spend money on.) ;-) It may cost a bit, but when you get the camera back, it should last you a long time. Youxin is probably the fastest route to go, and he'll give the camera a proper going over to make sure everything is good.

Only two minor things wrong, frame counter wheel and slow speed shutter speeds (shutter stays open like B until button is released, then you can hear it wind down) might be the retarder? any way, I never use those speeds. It's usable (fast speeds good), as soon as I get a take-up spool I'm gonna shoot a test roll.
