Just today I have understood that the exposure memory works in two stages like the shutter button. Slight press makes an exposure preview and firm press locks the exposure.

It works in 3 stages. 1st 2 stages allow you to adjust aperture till none of the 2 lights light up, meaning camera ESTIMATED a shuutre speed below 1/500 sec and above 1/30.

Exposure would still be correct if the yellow light comes on, but camera needs to be mounted on a tripod since the exposre is too long.

The 3rd stage opens shutter and keeps it open till a capacitor inside camera is charged to a certain level, then releases blades to close.
