I have a problem that seems to be very common with this camera ... the selector switch is spinning freely. I can order the necessary replacement parts from Canon, but not the repair manual. I was wondering if anybody knows if/how I can at least see a schematic that would clarify how to take the problem area apart and put it back together myself...

There is a website that explains how to do this. Check the archives to get the sites address.
