I have a Canon A1 which I have just run a roll of film though with no problems. After working with the camera a bit more (without film in it) film rewind button does not seem to be able to be released and the film advance lever does not seem to be able to advance. Is there some procedure I should be using to "unlock" the unit? Any help would be appreciated. |

the button should pop out as you start to move the wind lever. it might be obstructed... if you remove the baseplate you can see the mechanism that holds it and you might be able to spot the problem. |

if the camera is not tripping and advancing, it could be the battery is weak. |

I have an ae-1, and I found that you have to depress the shutter then advance the lever befor the button pops out. That is assuming that everything is working properly. |
