Hi,

I found this old thread on the subject:
https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/forum/messages/6900/4331.html

I've used Rick's excellent notes and managed to get the mirror box out far enough to see the side where the aperture lever is. I'm not sure I tried to adjust the right screw though.

I saw two contacts at the top of the box towards the rear and turning one screw moved them together or apart. I adjusted the screw to where they were closest together but I think it ended up in the same place as before, so naturally when I put it all back together it's still in the same state.

Does anyone have any tips for getting this right? Is there a pdf of the service manual anywhere?

Thanks

Ronnie

I've just realised that the lenses will stop down slightly when the camera is cocked so it's not the contacts I need to watch when adjusting anything, it's the aperture actuating lever. I must need to adjust it's cocked resting place upwards.

I thought I's post my final findings.

I can't see a way of adjusting the aperture actuator lever. It's adjustment may be hidden by the self timer of course.

I was also trying to adjust the contacts wrongly. They make contact as the lens stops down so I should adjust them further apart so they make contact later in the cycle.

That's got the metering working again when cocked but the lens still slightly stops down if not set to maximum aperture. I can libe with that.
