hi there,,,can anyone tell me how to remove the lens on retina iiic as it is lapsided and not in the grooves properly,,i have tried turning both ways ,,, wont budge 1 bit to the point sore fingers,,,help appreciated [sean] |

If the bayonet mount is jammed, you're going to have to use more force than your fingers can supply to get the lens out. First I'd try a rubber sheet of some kind to give you more grip. If that fails, maybe wide-opening pliers with padding on the jaws. All while pressing on the lock release tab at the side of the lens, of course. If you get it off, be sure to check the lugs on the bayonet mount before trying to put it on again. If one or more of the lugs are bent, it may go back on crooked again. |

PS: Turn it only counter-clockwise to loosen it. The red dot on the lock tab has to move only from the white dot to the red dot on the surround ring to allow the lens to lift out. |
