Hello, I am just starting camera repair. I have seen many references to sources of tools and material (lubricants etc) in the USA. Where can I obtain good quality photographic repair tools in the UK? Thanks, Chris |

I know they're not in the UK, but http://www.micro-tools.com/ is a good place to buy tools - especially if you live in New Zealand! Even specialist tool suppliers here don't carry optical tools. |

Thanks for the link - it certainly looks to be a good site. The only problem may be some of the sprays as they cannot be shipped by air. It may be that they can send these by surface mail. |

If you live near London, try: Gleave & Co, 111-113 St John St, EC1. Tel 0207 253 1345. They have a catalogue and may do mail order. They are a supplier of watchmaker repair tools. Most of which is the same as used by the camera repair suppliers. Micro Tools are very good and helpful as a supplier. |
