Hi, I have just acquired an Olympus Trip 35 which seems to have a frame counter permanently stuck at past 36 exposures. Does anyyone know how to fix this please? Thanks, Chris |

Maybe simply the reset pin which protrudes through a groove where the rear sits on is stuck. This sometimes happens due to rotten light seals. In any case, you may opent the top cover (which is quite straightforward on this camera) and check what's happening when you open the rear door. There should be a detent swinging back from the saw-tooth wheel. If it does not, the pin is stuck, or one of the bearings of this lever. |

In the TRIP the counter is a little unit of its own - it can easyly be taken out by removing the screws holding it - you can't miss those. Then you can check and clean the unit if Winfried's advice is not enough! |
