HI I have a Casio digital camera. The problem with it is that it is a US version that does not support movie mode. The European version does, however. Firmware versions for both cameras are identical, so I guess the blocking of movie mode is somewhere inside the camera (the reason for that is some court case that Casio is currently involved in, and they cannot enable the movie mode until they win the case). Does anyone know how to work this around? This is such an awesome camera, and having it with movie mode would be soo great! Thanks a lot |

Hi. I have the same problem and I'm going to tell you a curious thing. Last week I took some photos and recorded some videos with my sister's camera (an exilim ex-z3). With the USB cable, I passed those photos from that camera to mine and SURPRISE. I was able to reproduce video files. Controls appeared in the LCD so if I can reproduce a video, I'm sure I can record it but how. The problem must be in the firmware preinstalled. |
