Excuse me if I am outside the Forum's scope but, would anyone care to comment on this item? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11813&item=3835419440&rd=1&ssPageName=WD4V The reason for this is that only yesterday I had an identical item in my hands ("Microscope Prism Viewfinder 127/34") and entered a conversation with its owner, neither of us having a clue as to its intended use. The above reference came up after performing a ggl* search. The tubular part behaves as a focusable magnifier and connects with the roundish part, inside which there is a mirror permitting a 90 degree "deviation of the optical axis" (?). The external screw visible in the picture would allow fastening the device over a camera lens's outer rim. Perhaps an aid to determining accurate focus on a camera? Somewhere i've seen this same number (127/34) associated with Voigtlander Prominent. Thanks in advance for any comment. Any light thrown on this subject may help put not just one but maybe two of these to good use! |
