Does anybody know where I can get the rangefinder re-silvered on a leica cl? I tried the leica shop in london but they weren't able to help. Would love some advice as I am desperate to use it!
When I needed a new rangefinder for my M3 I just hung around checking ebay auctions. It took about 3-4 weeks. But nice thing was I got it for $24 plus shipping. The CL isn't as common but you might still luck out.
My CL is my favorite Leica rangefinder. I've had some luck swapping mirrors between different makes and models of rangefinder cameras. But that entails a lot of work even if the mirror doesn't fit.
