I have a Canon AE-1 Program camera that has worked great for many years. I hadn't used it for a year or so and when I took it out to use it I found the battery was dead. I put in a new battery and it went dead overnight. I then put in another bateery and noticed that the meter display is flickering in response to movement of the camera. I can tap on the top cover and make it flicker, also. When I hold down the shutter release, or the metering button for that matter, the display is stable and seems to meter properly. Is this a common problem and is it easy to fix? |
