I have found a MTL3 in the loft which has been there for some time (stored away as it did not work). The fault is that when am ready to photo I press the button to take the shot but nothing happens and the the leaver to move the film on is jammed. Any advice would be most grateful. |

Hi Stuart, I guess there are at least more than one possible reasons for the problem of your camera - and the first necessary step to find it out is to open the camera body. I am sure, you already expected this :-) To be honest now, I had some similar problems at my Prakticas and sometimes the solution was quite simple. If the winding lever at your camera still can be moved, but does not push anything forward within the camera, than it is possible that you just have to fix a little spike at the winding shaft to its correct position and everything will be fine again. This problem sometimes occurs when the camera was shaken or even fell to the floor or something. If you are interested, I could send you some pictures for the "surgery" - but first you would have to take off the top section of the camera body. Please send me an e-Mail if you want to get more information... |
