I recently acquired a Minolta XG-A Camera from my Grandfather. I know nothing about this type of camera. It seemed to be working fine, ie., the shutter release button would click when depressed, and the film would advance. I tried to load a new roll of film. I was doing as the manual stated, I had depressed the shutter button a couple times when the film advance lever did not complete a full stroke. Then all of a sudden the shutter button would not work and the film advance lever will not work. The mirror under the lens is in the up position and I have replaced the batteries.

I have looked for repair manuals but can only find owners manual which doesn't really tell you anything about repair.

Any suggestions for someone who knows nothing about this camera? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
