Hi I'm a complete novice on this kind of thing. I have just been given the above camera that seems to be in mint condition. However at shutter speeds of 1/30 and 1/15 only (lower shutter speeds are fine)there is a loose spring sound for a brief period of time rather like the sound of a winder on an automatic watch as it is being wound up. Any ideas would be appriciated. |

I'm not going to swear that this is the sound they're supposed to make but I have a Spotmatic, a K1000 and a KM all in great shape and that's the sound that 1/30 and 1/15 make. Something like a little pendulum rocking back and forth after the shutter closes. Harv |

Harv Your description is exactly as it is. So I feel more comfortable with the situation now. If anyone else can add to this it again would be very much apppriciated. |

I have a Spotmatic. Yep, the timer cogs keep making noise a short while after the mirror has returned. Only at 30 and 15. The spring has some more unwinding to do after the mirror release has been tripped I suppose. |

I just fired my Spotmatic and yes I hear a small pendulum inside tick tick tick only at those speeds. I kinda like it, never really noticed it before. |
