I have an Olympus RD that works great in automatic exposure setting. However, when the shutter lock is activated because of low light, turning the shutter speed dial will not unlock the shutter lock. The only thing that will unlock the shutter is turning the aperature dial to any manual setting or flashmatic mode and then rotating the diaphram dial back to automatic. You should be able to unlock the shutter by selecting a new shutter speed and not going to manual aperature and back to AE. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks in advance

In any case, you have to release (i.e. not to press any longer) the shutter release to remove the shutter interlock.

Moving the speed dial should result in moving the meter needle to a different position - if the shuter is NOT pressed, otherwise it will be locked in its previous position. Maybe the galvanometer of your camera is a bit gummed so that the needle does not move freely.
