My husband used this camera for several years but we are considering selling it on ebay. He pointed out that it worked great, but the shutter dial now spins freely and doesnt' work. I took it apart and see that it looks like a little pin that should be there when you press the shutter auto lock button is broken off. Is this something we should bother having repaired? Should we just throw it out? I'm considering just listing it all as is (extra lense, case & flash unit) and just seeing what happens, but I wondered if anyone knows about this |

Hi, You could get it repaired but I doubt you would cover the cost of it from eBay. However, I certainly wouldn't throw it out and I wouldn't list it as a "job lot" on eBay. You are better off listing the lenses, case and accessories as separate items. You may want to list the camera with a description of the problem "as is for repair" and you will probably get some interest as long as you have a very low start price. If not I am sure they may be takers on this board. I would certainly be interested. Regards Kim |
