Hi I've just bought a second hand Pentax ME Super, which appears to have a problem. When no lens is mounted to the body, the shutter cocking and release mechanism works fine. However, when a lens is attached, after turning the winding lever to cock the shutter, the shutter then releases automatically as the lever comes back. Any suggestions/explanations would be very much appreciated. Jared |

Since an ME Super is electronically timed yet mechanically released, I'd first look at the aperture stopdown function. Check the function of BOTH camera AND lens. The stopdown and mirror are released together. Study the disassembled photos in the article section. On both just find the proper lever and give it a flick to see what happens. They should snap back into postion. Henry |
