I have a manual focus Nikkor 300mm f4.5 lens, the older version without internal focus, that needs the focusing helicoil regreased. Can anyone describe how to disassemble this lens? Thanks. |

I have emailed you, Rick. Thank you. By the way, what grease/lube should I use? I would prefer a light feel, and am willing to re-lube more often as the tradeoff. Will be used in temperate conditions, if it matters. |

Thanks to Rick, I have a smoothly focusing lens now. I should have chosen a lighter grease, I guess, but the process was so easy that I might re-do it later. I appreciate the help. |
