I have only been tinkering with repairing cameras and lenses for about a year now. At one time, I took my Nikkor 50mm 1.4 AI lens apart and discovered the hard way that one of the screws on the mount shouldn't be unscrewed because there is a weight mechanism beneath it. I have tried searching through articles here and found Rick Oleson's great information and hand drawn diagrams on Nikkor / Nikon lens disassembly but his caution regarding the dreaded screw located 90 degrees from the stop down lever comes too late for me. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how exactly the weight fits back on ? Thanks.
