My Nikon FM2 has had an accidental knock, which has distorted the flash mount and cracked the black plastic cover below the mount. Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to disassemble th flash mount in order to repair it? Brief instructions would be appreciated. Thanks.

hi stuart:

i'm not 100% positive but i would assume that you need to remove the top cover to disassemble the flash mount. i have a sketch for that, if you'd like to email me for it.
