Any ideas as why the frame counter has stopped resetting to Zero when the back is opened? The little plunger in the top rail moves freely and a good spring pressure can be felt. New light seal or debris is not restricting it. Could this be a lubrication probelem perhaps? If so where and what with? |

Hi, Roger. With the top removed...the little wheel should have spring pressure. That is to say when you turn it in the direction it moves as it counts the frames, you should feel spring pressure wanting to move the wheel back to zero. If you don't, I'd guess the spring has broken or something else has occurred which has caused the wheel to stick. I'm assuming the camera has not been dropped and there is no damage to the top plate which could cause the wheel to bind. Good luck. Jon |

I had the same problem on my MG-1 (see above). Turned out the little crescent shaped piece of metal with the red index mark on it was binding against the frame counter wheel. It would only reset to about 18, count up from there, but only ever reset back to 18-ish again. |
