Hi all, I have a problem with my otherwise wonderfull P6. In contrary as usual, frame spacing dont overlapping, but spacing increases progressively but even in the first frames is greater that should be. Is there a way to adjust the frame spacing? consider that Im rather skilling repairing old cameras but not a pro. Thanks & regards |

Frame spacing issues seem to be the rule with the Pentacons and Kiev 60's.I've recently committed to purchasing a Kiev 60, so have been doing a lot of Googling on these cameras. Many sites /owners seem rather convinced that film loading and advancing practice is the key factor, exacerbated by years of use and wear. One opinion that got several positive responses on Photo.net was: "Never let it snap back" is a rule, not a method. The method is to hold down the shutter button until you start winding the next frame. That is don't release it before beginning the process of winding the film. Evidently most of these transports are "broken" internally and doing this little trick forces the camera to make the correct advance even if all of the internals aren't moving correctly. I haven't run across any strong suggestions that the situation can be solved through adjustment, seems to be a design fault . . . The page : http://www.baierfoto.de/Transport.html outlines the proper (?) advance procedure (in German), you can copy and paste it into a translation site for some creative English . . . |
