My friend recently inherited an FM2. First roll of film went ok. She had some difficulty figuring out how to rewind the film, but succeeded and it turned out ok. When loading the second roll, the frame number stays at S and we attempted to advance the frame to 1 by clicking and advancing, but the film won't advance, and the shutter button feels like it was already pressed and the film needs to be advanced. We checked the film rewind button on the bottom of the camera, that popped back out after the film was loaded. We opened the back and reloaded the film several times, but no help. Any suggestions? |

I don't know this camera, but on some you can free them by opening the back, turning the film sprocket with your finger until it stops and then clicking the shutter. |

Look the shutter blades--are they okay or do they appear bent--out of place. |

A friend of mine is having the same problem. The film advance lever just won't budge, shutter won't click, etc. We've tried everything mentioned here so far but with no success. |
