Hi. I am borrowing an Olympus OM-2 from a friend and the piece that you must wind to roll the film and pull to open the film door has fallen off (the tiny screw must have been loose). I have lost it! Can someone please tell me how I can find a replacement for this piece? Thank you!! |

Hi Trisha Try the "swap" section of this forum. I've had great success getting misc. parts there. https://kyp.hauslendale.com/classics/forum/messages/4/4.html?1126615204 Will |

Trisha, Look up your local camera repair companies and ask if they have one to sell. Many companies collect parts cameras, here in UK I have managed to buy many spares this way.It all depends if the part you want, is the bit that always dies on that particular model. In that case they will only carry out a repair for you-which is fair. However many cosmetic parts are never normally needed,so you may be in luck. One other eBay trick: If you see a parts camera sell to someone else, contact the buyer and offer to buy the part you need. Chances are the buyer bought it for a different part and will be happy to sell you the one you're looking for. |
