I was hoping someone here could help me out, my TL Electro X usually works great, no problems at all, but occasionally the shutter drags until I advance the film lever and only then does the shutter close. This will happen a couple times then seem to sort itself out. Although I am not entirely sure, it seems to happen more often after I return to faster settings (1/60, 1/125, etc.) after some time in the slower range. Hopefully all the shutter needs is a cleaning, I'm not all that electronically inclined. Thanks |

Actually, after examining the problem more closely, the shutter closes, but the mirror remains up until I advance the film. Does any one know what causes this and how it can be remedied? Thanks |

Check the mirror bumper foam. When the mirror sticks up, try to pull it down with your fingertip. If it comes down instantly then you have to change the sticky mirror bumper foam. Easy. If it does not come down, or shows resistance, then you have a mechanical problem. |

My problem is that as I wind on, after shutter release, the mirror flips up and I have no view-finder. Press the shutter release and the mirror flips down. Any suggestions please? |
