My Canonet doesn't fire at all when I wind, then press the shutter release. Is there a fix for this? Will I have to take off the lens (I don't know how to do that either)? If anyone knows what it takes to fix a broken shutter... |

Hello, Jacob. Your shutter blades are stuck together. There is plenty of information on this site about repairing this in camera articles and also in archived messages...you must first remove the lens elements (glass), and then wash the shutter blades with a suitable solvent (naphtha) is probably the best. If you are relatively handy, you can do this. If not, you can sell the camera to somebody who will repair it. If this turns out to be your only option, please e:mail me at: [email protected]. Good luck! Jon |
