Hi, I have a minolta x-370s and all of the pictures I take with the camera come out out of focus. I dropped my camera bag and I opened it up and the camera's plastic viewfinder piece came out and so I took it to my local camera store and the guy there snapped the plastic piece back into place but ever since then the images are all out of focus any ideas? Or suggestions as to what is wrong or how i can fix it? It would be appreciated!

Sounds like he snapped it in upside down. I hope that's all that's wrong.

Any suggestions as to how I could correct this? Can I remove the piece and replace it correctly? Or should I just take it to a camera store again and have them fix it, hoping that this is all that is wrong? Thank you very much for your response!

I am assuming here that it was the actual focus screen that came loose:- Unless you have specific instructions on how to remove the screen, I would suggest that you let a repair man do the job. I can find no details on screen replacement and would hazard a guess that the screen is not user replaceable.

If on the other hand you mean the viewfinder lens, putting this in the wrong way will only make a difference to the clarity of the image - not the actual focus.

In both instances, if installation is correct you should have the alignment of the mirror checked. Depending on how the camera was positioned in the bag, it is possible that a vertical drop could impart enough inertial force on the mirror to move/bend the 45 degree alignment stop from the correct position.
