i just aquired a canon ftb ql and have no idea how to remove the lens. there is no release on the camera body nor the lens itself.

Where the lens attaches to the camera there should be a satin chrome ring (if it is a Canon lens). Turn it counter clockwise to remove the lens.

On my FT QL it is a knurled ring on the lens barrel, immediately adjacent to the camera body.
