I have a mint FS-1 with failed electronics. I picked up a used FS-1 body in bad shape but the electronics work fine. Can I switch the electronics? Is it something I can do like swapping out a chip or something. |

Maybe if you disassembled the used one you could tell if you could do the same with the mint one to your satisfaction. |

The biggest problem with the FS/FT series is that the connectors between the electronic flex circuits deterriorates. Clean all the green sticky rubbery stuff off the connectors, wash well with isopropal alcahol, and replace the pressure washer with leather or something appropiate. |

I would like to try cleaning first. I took off the botton cap no problem. Where do I go from here to get at the conectors on the flex circuit. Thanks John |
