How is something like this repaired? The shutter button will not work (does not depress) and the self timer lever is stuck in the down position. Any ideas? |

That type of problem is almost always dried lubricants and contaminants in the shutter. Cleaning the shutter should make it work again. The Supermatic is nearly the same as a Kodamatic shutter. Search the archives on this site for info on the Kodamatic. This page on the Kodak RF might be of some use as well. http://daniel.mitchell.name/cameras/kodak35/kodak35.html |

Does the Medalist shutter release only work when the camera is loaded with film? |

Sort of. Open the back of the camera, set the film counter to 1, and spin the silver film countter wheel with your thumb until the counter changes to two. That should free up the release. You also might find this link handy, http://www.mediajoy.com/en/cla_came/medalist/index.html Top |
