The white lettering on my Nikon F3 logo is coming off. Does anyone have any experience repainting just the white logo part? What kind of paint do I use and is there a special technique to paint it? |

AN old pro Iknew would use white out to fill in letters.Just fill in and wipe off excess with lens tissue,q-tips,etc.You can also use it to mark dials or hard to see settings on equipment. |

Some White Outs are extremely difficult to clean - just trying to get it off your hands is a major chore. I would recommend a water based model hobby paint, the residue cleans up very nicely. Touch-up sticks are also available from Micro Tools: http://www.micro-tools.com/store/SearchByCategory.aspx?CategoryCode=PAI Jan |

I have used the touch-up sticks for many years. Once I fill in the lettering and clean off the excess getting the job to look pretty. Then I take a lighter or small flame I heat the letters to melt the touch-up and set the paint. I have found if I don't take this extra step that the paint can be wiped out easily. I personally would not use white out because it is not a more permanent paint like material, if it gets wet it will probably run. Phil |

Get a grease pencil China Marker, White, @ a stationary store. Rub over the lettering, wipe off excess. Repeat. It's how I did my F3 |
