hi, i have an olympus om1, light meter is active all the time, switched on or off, had a quick look at the switch this is working fine, |

If the meter is accurate, I wouldn't worry about it. Many CDS metered cameras were made without meter switches because when the lens cap is on, there is very little meter drain. Just keep the lens covered or keep the camera in a bag when not in use and you should have no worries. |
